New Construction Certifications

New construction certifications are a way to verify  that a home is energy efficient to homeowners today and in the future. By working with a qualified Energy Advisor, they will assess the home, rate the efficiency and present a ENERGY STAR® or Net Zero label, using the EnerGuide Rating System as a tool. Builders can choose any of Canada's most trusted and voluntary programs.

Energy Advisors work with builders, contractors and homeowners to create packages and plans on how to improve the home's energy efficiency. Through industry knowledge and looking at the house as a system, they recommend expert advice to create comfortable, cost-effective and energy efficient homes.

We are able to certify EnerGuide single homes and multi unit residential building. For a large volume discount, please inquire for more details.

ENERGY STAR® For New Homes

Homes built to ENERGY STAR® standards are designed to encourage energy-efficient practices that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. These homes are on average 20% more energy-efficient than homes built to code which results in reduced energy consumption and reduced utility bills.

Have your next home built by a licensed builder and verified by an ENERGY STAR® licensed Energy Advisor.

EnerGuide For New Homes

An energy-efficient home is comfortable, healthy, environmentally friendly and cost-effective.

New home builders collaborate with Energy Advisors before the construction begins, to create an energy efficient plan. Once the home is built the Energy Advisor returns to validate that all the upgrades are completed and provides an EnerGuide report and label along with the rating of the home.

EnerGuide ratings identify the energy consumption of the newly built home and the performance of the house is easily comparable from one home to another.

Net Zero Home

Net Zero homes are built 80% more energy efficient than conventionally built homes. And they produce as much clean energy as they consume, using renewable energy systems to power the home. Every part of the house works together as a system to provide extraordinary comfort, excellent air quality while reducing utility bills all year round.

The CHBA Net Zero Home Labelling Program is delivered through qualified Net Zero Energy Advisors and builders.
